My Favorite
Children's Books:
We all know that reading to kids when they are little is very important.  Many researchers say this can make a huge difference in how they relate to the written word.  Books have always been a big part of my life.  I remember as young person always giving my friends, even those who were not readers, a book for Christmas.  It was my mission to get them to love reading as much as I did!  My mom even bought me a keychain when I got my first house key that said, "I'd Rather Be Reading."
I have read many children's books.  One of the books that sticks out most for me is James and the Giant Peach.  This book was read to me by my third grade teacher.  She took about ten minutes out of each day to read us a book.  I know there were many others that year, but this is the book that sticks in my mind, even to this day.  It also motivated me to get a copy to read to my own children.  So, what is your favorite book that somebody read to you when you were little?  It could be a picture book, chapter book, or anywhere in between.
